Beauty & the Beast is an American television series, very loosely inspired by the 1987 CBS series of the same name, created by Sherri Cooper-Landsman and Jennifer Levin that premiered October 11, 2012 on The CW. Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan star in the title roles alongside Austin Basis, Nina Lisandrello and Nicole Gale Anderson.
On October 13, 2015, it was announced that the upcoming fourth season of Beauty & the Beast would be the final season; which is scheduled to premiere on June 2, 2016, with its final episode airing on August 25, 2016
The first trailer for upcoming Disney live action movie Beauty and the Beast has finally dropped, starring Emma Watson in the lead as Belle.
Bill Condon, best known for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, is directing the remake from a script by Stephen Chbosky, who directed Watson in The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Watson first announced her casting in January 2015, writing on her official Facebook page that the animated film was “such a big part of her growing up”. “My six-year-old self is on the ceiling, heart bursting,” she said. “Time to start some singing lessons. I can’t wait for you to see it.”
She is joined in the film by Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere and Emma Thompson as Mrs Potts. Josh Gad, Stanley Tucci, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kevin Kline and Audra McDonald also star.
Beauty and the Beast is an upcoming American live-action fantasy, musical film directed by Bill Condon, and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It is a remake of the 1991 hand-drawn animated film and will be written by Evan Spiliotopoulos and produced by Mandeville Films. Condon also has plans to include most of the Menken/Rice songs from the Broadway musical as well as to draw inspiration from the original animated film.
The script will be rewritten by Stephen Chbosky. The film will star Emma Watson as Belle. and Dan Stevens as the Prince/Beast. It is scheduled for release on March 17, 2017.
